In May 2020, during the Covid-19 epidemic, for the first time, the Center for International Education, USSH, in collaboration with the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) and the Montessori Training Center Northeast (MTCNE) organized the Online AMI Primary Orientation Course 3-6. The course has provided teachers, managers, and parents in localities outside Ho Chi Minh City with the opportunity to access the Montessori method and has received positive student feedback. Building on that success, CIE decided to admit students for the online AMI Primary Orientation Course - Cohort 10, the specific module is as follows:
1. Date: From January 11, 2021 – February 2, 2021 (no classes on Saturday and Sunday)
● Learn online via recorded videos at any time of the day.
● 19:30 – 21:00 every day: group discussions, Q&As with AMI lecturers.
Students will be trained to use Information Technology (Schoology software) before the course begins.
2. Lecturer: Ms. Diwo Lhamo Pemba – Lecturer of the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI). Ms. Pemba is an expert with over 20 years of experience in teaching the Montessori method of Education in the United States and is a lecturer of AMI Assistant and Diploma courses in Vietnam, the United States, India, Morocco, Egypt, etc.
3. Course content:
● 20 lectures on topics:
✔ Introduction to Montessori education
✔ Child psychology and development
✔ Introduction to the Montessori classroom environment
✔ Learn how adults support learning in a Montessori environment
✔ Introduction to the role of Adults in the Montessori classroom (3 - 6 years old)
✔ How to interact with children
✔ How to support the primary teacher in the Montessori classroom (3 - 6 year old)
● 3 essays (500 words/essay) on theoretical issues
● A 9-hour observation log
● Inspection of learning tools: apron, 3-part card, collection of poems and songs (through images)
* Note:
● Each lesson is followed by a 1 hour and 30 minutes online session to discuss and answer questions.
● The entire video will be subtitled in Vietnamese.
● Students receive technical support when there is a problem during the learning process.
● Materials and assignments will be uploaded on the Schoology system.

4. Diploma: The AMI Primary Orientation Course 3-6 diploma issued by the Association Montessori Internationale, is internationally recognized.
5. Tuition fee: 8,200,000 VND/student, the deadline for the tuition fee is the end of January 8, 2021.
